About the project:

The Mediterranean is a way of living; of inhabiting and relating, this was the starting point for the inauguration of the new Zara Home concept store in Palma, located in an emblematic 1930's industrial building on Paseo del Borne.

The interior design by Isabel López-Quesada gives the store a special atmosphere, a lived-in space full of cozy, different but harmonious corners. For the event, the space was filled with vegetation. Inés Urquijo, an expert in floral decoration, was inspired by the island's flora: lemon, orange, almond and olive trees; palm trees and bougainvillea; jasmine, rosemary and francesillas.

The event began with the presentation of the store and a lunch with national and international press. In the evening, the cocktail party was held, attended by important figures of fashion, design, architecture and art of the island. Food and drink are key social rituals in Mediterranean cultures. For the catering we chose the artisan Tomeu Arbona, who designed a menu based on traditional Mallorcan cuisine.

The entire event was communicated through a simple and refined graphic image that was captured in invitations, cards, minutes and a screen-printed tote bag. Attendees were presented with typical Mallorcan products and a set of placemats and linen napkins from Zara Home to match the tote bag.
